In Beverly Hills last night, the great Barbra Streisand and the even greater Steven Spielberg respectively hosted Obama events at $2800 and $28500, a plate. The major faux-pas is that Senator Obama attended them. In the wake of financial crumbles, mortgage nightmares and major job cuts, the last image Middle America needs to see is their next President kicking it with the extremely rich and annoyingly famous. You have fabulous friends, we know this. Now, roll up your sleeves and attend a couple of corn-on-the-cob events and reassure the people that this too, shall pass. Photo opps and good timing – that’s part of what wins Elections.
