Black Folks dropped the ball

Last Friday night, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People)www.naacp.org held their annual Image Awards show. The Awards are remitted to stand outs in acting, activism, and music. This year, winners included Prince, Sophie Okonedo & Tracey Ellis Ross. The Best Actor in a Drama series went to Isaiah Washington aka Dr. Preston Burke on Grey’s Anatomy aka the ousted bigot who called fellow castmate T.R Knight the f word – twice.

The NAACP rewarded that? Half the audience stood up and gave a standing ovation
to that? Très moche. Imagine, just for a second, what would happen if the Emmys rewarded Michael Richards.

Well, … the NAACP got this right at the Awards:
