This is the day Singles prefer to forget. It’s the day new couples are unsure about. The one that puts pressure on husbands and boyfriends and the day wives and girlfriends know they’ll have to put out – headache or not. My track record confirms I’m not one that should be giving love advice but if you’re in a relationship where Hallmark dictates when you should declare your love – and how – then know that it’s in trouble.

If you’re lucky enough to be with the one you love than, to paraphrase Sade, every day should be Christmas and every night (or every other night) should be New Year’s Eve. Forget Valentine’s Day.
